Cost of Individual Items: 2675 Simpoints
Cost of Set: 1700/1900 Simpoints
Savings: 975/775 Simpoints
With the discount, you are getting some nice savings rather than buying the individual items. HOWEVER, because it's the New Years, wouldn't it have been nice if everything was originally just 50 Simpoints each? Like, besides the accessories and shoes, there would be no clothing assets that would cost 75 Simpoints anymore, and the price would drop a little bit to 50 Simpoints for each outfit/shirt.
Doing that would make the cost of all the individual items be 1950, thus making the discount for the set probably around 1400/1500 Simpoints. I personally think that would have been a wonderful discount for what you are getting, but hopefully we'll see a decrease in the cost of simpoints in future sets. It would have been nice if it was lower, but it's still pretty decent for what you are getting.
Theme and Design
I find it amazing that the store team has decided to focus a set towards teens, and at the same time introducing something new to the store: accessories! As much as I love the new outfits for teens, with the theme of it for prom, I still find it odd that some of the teen outfits have a YA/Adult counterpart, which I don't see adults wearing prom outfits... I guess it would be nice for players to enjoy the outfits for their adults to wear to formal events and all. Nonetheless, it is nice for them to finally add something for teens, which were lacking in clothing via the store. I'm hoping to see future sets with more teen outfits coming this year.
What's awesome about the design of all of the clothing as pretty much EVERYTHING on the outfits are recolorable, even the shiny glittery stuff on the dresses! It makes customization go pretty far and players can now showcase their recolors without seeing the same color of the jewelry/embedded parts of the dresses.
I personally think it would have been nice if the set was "solely" focused on teens, meaning instead of getting an outfit for both YA/Adult and Teens, you would get just outfits focused only on teens. How great would it be if there were 29 clothing assets and 13 accessories for teens? Other than that, the theme works pretty well and is a good fit to add for new clothing for teens.
I would think otherwise if they went to the casual wear or swimwear, but the dresses are stunning on the females. I do like the tuxedo shirt for males as it comes in different designs.
There is a flaw in one of the Jerseys as the Female Teen one does not have a blank stencil. Hopefully this gets fixed in the future.
It was interesting to find that there were three outfits for children also. They could use some new school uniforms and all to go to school in so it's nice.
Most of the clothing is enabled for Everyday and Formal, while the Jerseys and T-Shirts can be enabled for Sleepwear and Athletic. While I wouldn't wear the prom dresses in everyday attire, hopefully I won't have to see some sims wearing prom dresses outside of the household.

Overall Review
Price: 7/10 - While the price is nice, I really do wish the items may have dropped a little in price. Meaning, instead of it being 75 Simpoints per individual item, it would be 50 Simpoints each. Even though when purchasing the set, it makes every item pretty much 40 Simpoints each, the price drop would have made this set sell a lot, especially with it being the New Years and all. The discount is pretty nice though.
Theme: 8/10 - The theme of the set works very well with the teens as one of the biggest moments in a teens' life is pretty much prom night. I am glad to see some beautiful dresses and accessories for the teens as it was lacking hardcore in every way and shape possible. While it may be odd to find some of the adults with the same outfits, it would be good for players who do play mostly adults to get it. Wished there were more teen outfits that are tied solely to teens and not both age groups. I am also a fan of the new accessories released in the store that came with this set.
Design: 10/10 - The dresses are simply stunning for the females, along with the fact that EVERYTHING is pretty much recolorable. Even the jewelry that comes with this set is recolorable also. I am giving huge props to the team who made these recolors work so well. While it may take some twists and turns to make the colors work well together, I hope to see many simmers share their own designs of colors for these outfits. The Jerseys are pretty nice to add, but I am a fan of the Tuxedo shirt as it's pretty nifty to add something for those who don't like to wear tuxes (lol).
Overall: 8.3/10 - While there was a huge positive with the addition of new accessories, 100% recolorable outfits, and a huge plethora of teen outfits, the only thing that brought this set down a bit was the price. While it is priced like all of the other sets, I think a small decrease in price would have made a start of a wonderful New Year. Here's hoping to see what 2014 brings us for content.
